Overview

Yorimichi Cafeよりみち presents a quietly authentic slice of Japan tucked away in the heart of Kuala Lumpur’s bustling city center. Nestled on the mezzanine floor above Dayang Ros florist on Jalan Tun H S Lee, this charming café invites guests to step away from the urban rush and savor genuine Japanese flavors in a minimalist, zen-inspired setting.

The space is thoughtfully designed with natural wood elements and a striking Sakura tree centerpiece, fostering a peaceful atmosphere that complements the quality of its cuisine. Though the interior is compact, seating is arranged primarily for intimate groups of two, with a single larger table and an al fresco option to accommodate varied preferences. This makes Yorimichi Cafe an ideal spot for couples, small groups, or solo diners seeking respite and comfort.

Yorimichi’s menu highlights showcase classic Japanese dishes prepared with care and authenticity. Mentaiko Pasta topped with ontama (soft-cooked egg) delivers a creamy, flavorful experience thanks to its balanced seasoning and texture. The Gyudon and Teriyaki Saba Don, each served with an ontama, emphasize hearty simplicity with tender, savory meats over perfectly cooked rice. The Japanese Curry Rice impresses with generous portions and a rich sauce that can easily be shared. Among the grilled and fried selections, the Karaage Chicken stands out — moist, tender, and encased in a crisply fried crust reminiscent of Japan’s street food favorites.

Pairing these dishes with Yorimichi’s curated coffee and tea offerings elevates the dining experience. Expertly brewed espresso and delicate caffe lattes offer satisfying warmth, while the variety of matcha and hojicha lattes—both hot and iced—provide nuanced, earthy complements to the savory plates. For a touch of sweetness, their matcha cake, described by regulars as a harmonious blend of chocolate and matcha flavors, beautifully closes the meal.

Accessibility is a notable asset; the café is a short walk from Pasar Seni MRT station, making it convenient for city dwellers and visitors alike. Despite its central location, parking is limited, encouraging guests to immerse themselves fully into the urban rhythm before retreating to this serene hideaway. Service staff are friendly and attentive, enhancing the relaxed, unpretentious vibe customers appreciate.

The café’s ambiance paired with meticulously crafted dishes appeals to those who value genuine culinary experiences and a calm environment within a metropolitan setting. While space constraints may require larger groups to opt for outdoor seating, the overall atmosphere remains intimate and welcoming. Yorimichi Cafe stands out not only as a purveyor of authentic Japanese cuisine but as a thoughtful urban refuge where food and tranquility align.

Yorimichi Cafe. Jalan Tun HS Lee, KL (near Petaling Street) this cute lil cafe is located above a florist (Dayang Ros). You can enter through the red staircase at the rear of the florist or go upstairs from the florist. the interior was zen with lots of wood elements, and a Sakura tree at the counter. ordered the Mentaiko pasta with ontama (RM18) which was creamy and delicious. Karaage don (RM18) was great too, the fried chicken was crispy and juicy. Very Matcha Cake (RM7) - it’s like a chocolate cake / brownie dusted with lots of matcha powder. We enjoyed it! can get very busy after 12pm. Most tables are set for 2 pax, they only have 1 larger table indoors. There is also Al fresco dining. Nearest MRT: Pasar seni

Came across this hidden gem via Google Maps. Like this Japanese vibe cafe. Super comfy with nice instrumental music. At here during Sunday weekend, quite packed. There is air conditioned and outdoor seating area. Order and pay via QR code. Free water served. Affordable and delicious foods served consider the location. No tax charged. It is located just at the top of the dayang rose florist shop. Easy to find.

delicious food, especially the rice. This type of rice is similar to the rice I often eat in Vietnam, it makes me miss my home so much Although the meat is a bit sweet, overall for this dish is 8.5/10 (the fried meat is a bit overcooked). Matcha latte is delicious, not too sweet. The space of the restaurant is small, if you go with a large group you may have to sit outside.

This is probably the best Japanese food cafe in Kuala Lumpur. Seriously. Hidden on the second floor in between boutiques, flower shops, and other businesses, you will find one of the most zen and authentic Japanese cafe. The cafe vibe is good with light music in the back, soft indoor lighting, air conditioning, and neat interior decor. Service is so friendly and nice too. I was very happy with the food I ate, the Karaage Don and sweet potato fries. I definitely walked out feeling full and happy. While parking is non-existent, you can actually walk from LRT Pasar Seni. It's about 5 minutes away so consider it a light cardio before your meals. If you feel like chilling and eating Japanese food while having a good vibe, do come to this Cafe.

Came here for brunch. Lovely ambience. Quite small space so heads up if you want to come in group more than 4 people. The portion huge where you can actually share the curry rice for two person. The chicken karage is tender and moist, exactly like what I had back in Tokyo. The matcha cake is lovely and perfect as dessert after hefty meal. They also provided free plain water over the counter. Price wise is cheap considered the portion and location ( kl city center). Customer service was excellent. I shall come again to try other menu as well. Thank you :)

An absolutely delightful little cafe. Kind of hidden. It's up on the second floor down a smaller street. Had dinner with the family and to duck out of the rain. Basically ordered one of everything, it was delicious and we had a wonderful time.

Popped by Yorimichi Cafe for the first time after hearing so much about it from friends — and wow, it totally lived up to the hype! It's tucked away in a cute little backalley in a busy tourist area, which made it feel like a hidden gem. We had the matcha latte and it was so smooth and comforting. Also tried the set of 4 shu cream.. so light and fluffy, with just the right amount of sweetness. You can really tell everything's made with love. The owner’s Japanese and super friendly, and the cakes and cream puffs taste super authentic. Such a lovely little spot to chill and treat yourself. Will definitely be back

Quaint little restaurant + cafe run by a family, signature dish is their cream puffs by the Japanese lady owner. Loved their mentaiko pasta and karaage! Simple interior and get packed during lunch hour, they have a small outdoor seating area on the balcony. The kitchen is just round the corner so it can smell a bit oily when they’re frying the karaage, etc. Access into the cafe is either through the flower shop or the backalley spiral staircase, accessibility is difficult for those who can’t climb stairs.
